Minerals and rocks


Mineralogy is the science responsible for the identification of minerals and the study of their properties, origin and classification.
The minerals display a wide variedadde colors and structures, including such diverse types as glassy black obsidian, jasper jewelry, diamonds clear, hard and soft, white powder.
Minerals are the source of valuable metals, extracted as ores.
